One can place Lakshmi Ganesh Yantra facing East direction on a clean red color cloth. Light a candle, a ghee or butter lamp is best, wave it in a clockwise circle over and around the yantra. Offer some fresh flowers preferably red flower, like Hibiscus, and fruits to the yantra.

If you have any deities of Ganesh and Lakshmi, you may offer them a couple drops of water over their heads.  Sprinkle a couple of drops of water in the 4 directions, and say out loud, “Please Ganesh, let my home be pure and auspicious”.

The following Beej mantra should be chanted for at least 21 times for Lakshmi Ganesha Yantra:

“Om Gang GanapatayeNamaha”
“Oom Shareeng Hareeng Kaleeng Gloung Gag Ganpataye Var Varad Sarjan Me Vasmanaya Svaha”

The female of the house is usually considered important during the Lakshmi Pooja. The red flower offered to yantra is later given to the Lakshmi of the house.
